How long does it take to tint my car windows?
A good question…typically it can take between 1 – 4 hours to tint your car windows dependant on the degree of dificulty of the installation.
Will you remove my door panels to carry out the installation?
In most cases we can leave the door panels of the vehicle in place and still achieve a nice clean installation. There are a few vehicles out there that you MUST remove the door panel to obtain the level of finish we strive for.
Will you remove my windows during the installation?
On a few vehicles we will remove the window to obtain the highest level of finish, but don’t worry y’all…I have been replacing windows in cars since Adam was a lad…welll, not quite that long! – but for around 25 years I have been stripping door panels and removing windows on vehicles.
Are there any vehicles in particular that require the extra work involved in window removal?
Ok, here a few of the vehicles that require window removal. for a top-notch job!
VW Touran, mk 1 and 2 Honda CRV, many of the Toyota Models, Mitsubishi L200, Nissan Navara older shape and land Rover Discover pre TD5 require the rear window removing for the best finish.
Will the film stop Ultra Violet Light?
Most window films will stop 99% of UVA light. Nowadays, the windscreen of a vehicle will filter out the UVA light, but untinted side windows will let in about 54% of the damaging UVA rays. This is the stuff that ages you – and who needs that right?

Will window tinting keep my car cooler?
Depandent upon the film installed you will get varying levels of heat rejection.
Our entry level films will give you around 35% TSER ( Total Solar Enregy Reduction).
If you go for our premium lines, these will give you around 48% MORE heat rejection with figures around 57% TSER. Now that’s awesome!
Do you use metalised films?
We dont install any metalised films these days due to the chance of interferance with the vehicles AM radio and other electronic systems. We choose to offer signal safe films which cause no interferance. Our Llumar Avantgarde film offers heat rejection on a par with the best metalised films without the chance of causing any vehicle electrical problems due to the window film.
What about glare reduction?
For those rear seat passangers who complain about glare when playing games or watching on-board DVD players, they can expect 80% of the glare to be reduced by installing window film to your car. This means that driving becomes more comfortable for you and your passengers.
What is the guarantee period?
We offer a full warranty for the time you own the vehicle. This warranty is not transferable.
What about bubbles?
We have all seen the really bad jobs knocking around town, bubbles, creases and full of dirt…
these are the guys who have little experience, OK, they may be cheaper than myself, but I will tint your car as I would tint my own and I aim for 100% customer satisfaction – no less!
Back to bubbles – in colder weather you may get a bubble, this will dry in around 1 week. There is a big dirrerence between a water bubble and the film not being prepared properly prior to installation.
Can you answer a specific question for me?
If you have any further questiosn I am always happy to help.
Can I legally have all my vehicles windows tinted to the same degree? If not, what is the limit on the tint permitted on windscreen and front seat windows please?
Hi Drew
There are no legal films for the front doors or windscreen, anything you add will bring the vehicle below the legal limit.
