Hi, my name is Nick Roberts, I own and manage Car-Stuff and have done so since 2002.
I am married with 2 children, 2 dogs, 5 chickens…and thats enough for me, more than enough most of the time!
I have been in the motor industry since I left school, after attending college full-time for one year I served my apprentiship at a VW/Audi dealer, these were some of the happiest days of my life, at the time I didn’t realise this and I made some lifelong friends there,this was in the day when you were allowed to have a bit of fun at work…well a lot of fun actually. It was here that I migrated towards vehicle electrics and would spend most of my time in those days fitting car radios,speakers,aerials,alarms,sunroofs, electric windows and all the add-on items that did not come a standard on the vehicle…I’m showing my age here but the lower end cars generally came with nothing installed. I also did all the glass replacement at this dealership so this proved to be a good ace up my sleeve when I formed Car-Stuff.
I moved from there to work for the company who supplied VW/Audi with their vehicle security systems, in fact that company supplied most of the motor industry with security systems at one time or another including Rolls Royce. Here I was carrying out installations, training dealers how to install the systems and then I got a desk job…I was providing all the technical support for the car dealers and writing the installation instructions. I also built the company website and this is where i learned a lot of the skills which enable me to have a slick online presence today. After 9 long years here, my time had come to move on…
The rest is history and I now love running my own business (most of the time) and still get a buzz from delivering ass kickin installations and still focus on delivering the best work I can – every time.
